Scarred for Life

When I was 20 years old, I found that I had an Arnold Chiari Malformation, which is a malformation of the brain stem.

To have all the goals, plans, and dreams threatened to be taken away at that age put the very powerful and very finite nature of time into perspective.

I now live with a clean bill of health. I’ve contributed to numerous Chiari Malformation studies around the world and I am choosing to live every second of my new lease on life to the fullest.

“Truth gets revealed when you’re broken and healed. Every heart is made stronger by scars.”
